The COVID-19 pandemic has caused extreme stress to healthcare organizations that are dealing with an ever-increasing patient caseload while trying to protect their limited front-line workers. Mozzaz has responded to this challenge by releasing its COVID-19 Virtual Care Solution. With over seven years of digital health patient engagement solutions, the Mozzaz solution will allow healthcare organizations to increase their capacity and response by delivering virtual care in days – not months.

The solution goes beyond simple video conferencing. It allows patients to complete initial COVID-19 self-assessments, track symptoms, keep track of outbreak news and information and securely communicate with their care team who assess and triage them – all from their mobile phone. Care teams can also use the Mozzaz platform to communicate and collaborate on treatment and protocols through secure text messaging, live chats, video calls, and deliver personalized treatment plans to patients that can be remotely monitored and individually supported.

“The power of Mozzaz platform is in its Adaptive Intervention Modeler, or AIM™ technology, which allows care teams to use ready-made libraries of digital interventions and protocols or they can model their own through tailored unique pathways and protocols.” says Rini Gahir, Mozzaz Chief Business Development Officer. The COVID-19 Virtual Care Solution consist of libraries that can be integrated with different programs and existing patient care plans across chronic disease, behavioral health and primary care support.”

Health plans and governments across the globe, have fast-tracked new billing codes and policies for telehealth and virtual care consultations. These efforts will rapidly increase the use of digital health.

“Built on Microsoft Azure, the Mozzaz solution can not only scale to meet the demands of the current pandemic crisis, but also use the power of the cloud to run securely wherever customers are in need to businesses, including hybrid approaches or private government requirements” said Gareth Hall, Senior Director Worldwide Health Solutions at Microsoft.
