Mozzaz Selected for Digital Complex Care Solution with a California State Regional Center

Mozzaz has been awarded a California state funded digital health program through the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center (SGPRC) to support individuals with mild intellectual disabilities with co-occurring depression and/or anxiety. The San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center is one of 21 regional centers in California operated by with the State Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services for  330,000 people with developmental disabilities. The project is in collaboration with Heredia Therapy Group as the service provider delivering the programs and services to their clients.

“Mozzaz was selected based on their specialization in complex care digital health as it relates to individuals with disabilities and mental health,” explains Dr. Stephen Mouton, Clinical Psychologist and Policy Liaison at SGPRC at  “The goal of the program is to enhance the level of mental health support to promote healthy well-being and independence in everyday life for these individuals.”

Heredia Therapy Group will serve clients (age 12+) who are eligible for the program and will co-design the solution with Mozzaz to help clients engage in therapy services and increase accessibility through digital technology. The solution will include mood and sleep trackers, scheduled assessments, telehealth, de-escalation interventions and mental wellness resources for overall well-being. Care Teams will monitor a client’s mood, sleep and coping skills and be automatically alerted of triggering events or warnings.

“Mozzaz has been so easy to work with; they guide us in taking our ideas and concepts and turn them into reality,” explained Dr Karla Heredia, Chief Clinical Director for Heredia Therapy Group. “The solution is extremely flexible and the Mozzaz team is very knowledgeable in tailoring digital programs based on our service model.”
