Innovative mobile solution helps Family & Children Services of Tulsa Oklahoma win National Award for Excellence in Addictions Treatment

Philadelphia PA – March 5, 2016 – Mozzaz Corporation is proud to announce that it has played an instrumental role in helping Family & Children’s Services of Tulsa Oklahoma and its Women in Recovery program win this year’s prestigious National Council Impact Award for Excellence in Addictions Treatment Innovation. The award will be presented on March 8th during the NatCon 2016 gala evening.

Women in Recovery (WIR) is an intensive alternative to an incarceration program for justice-involved women with substance use disorders. It offers a comprehensive array of clinical and case management services including after care services.  WIR has consistently achieved its primary goal of reducing the number of women with drug-related offenses being sent to prison.  Since the program’s inception, there has been a 20 percent decrease in female incarcerations. WIR is using Mozzaz to deliver a mobile solution to keep their clients safe, connected and supported by their care team as they transition back into the community.

“With Mozzaz, we have been able to increase our clients’ engagement in after care services which is proving to be the single most effective prevention against substance abuse addiction relapse,” says Mimi Tarrasch, Program Director for WIR.

The Mozzaz WIR solution supports a set of personalized interventions and content to keep clients connected to care and support resources. With built-in scheduled activities with notifications and secure messaging managed by the WIR team, clients always have the support they need at any time of the day where ever they may be. The WIR team can monitor engagement levels and communication back to WIR through the app and can intervene should support be required.

“We’re very impressed with Mozzaz and with the responsivity of the entire team and their willingness to implement new features and capabilities within their solution tailored to our specific needs.  Thanks to Mozzaz, WIR graduates are able to do everything from connect to recovery resources, make appointments with WIR staff, and give feedback on programming – directly from the mobile device in the palm of their hand.”

Mozzaz is equally excited about the innovative work being done with WIR. As Rini Gahir, Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer at Mozzaz Corporation recently said, “Mozzaz is proud of the work WIR is doing and we are excited to be a part of their success with this Impact Award. We look forward to continuing to broaden the use of Mozzaz across the different programs at Family & Children’s Services of Tulsa Oklahoma.”

Mozzaz is currently available to behavioral health providers and payers and can be integrated into the services delivered by care teams with the company’s versatile Mobile Intervention Technology™.
